Kenneth Fine, MD

Dr. Kenneth Fine was among the first group of surgeons in the country to become subspecialty certified in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, in which he currently specializes at The Orthopaedic Center division in D.C., Rockville, and Germantown. Dr. Fine has extensive experience caring for athletes at all levels, from recreational to elite. He provided medical care for Olympic soccer teams during the 1996 summer Olympics, was co-medical director for the World Figure Skating championships in 2003 and in June of 2008, he served at the Olympic Training Center in Michigan where he also was the physician for the Junior U.S. Boxing Championships. He has traveled to Beijing and Moscow as the physician for the U.S. fast-track speed skating team. He has been the medical provider to Cirque du Soleil, the Boston Ballet Company and the Joffrey Ballet. He has been the medical director for the Cherry Blossom 10-mile road race, the National Race for the Cure and for several other road races and soccer tournaments. He has been the director of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine at George Washington University and Children’s National Medical Center. He has been the team physician for the George Washington University teams, as well as several high schools, including the D.C. public schools. He has been an orthopaedic consultant for the D.C. Divas professional football team.
