Scott C. Faucett MD, MS is a board certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, hip preservation and complex knee injuries. At GW Hospital, he serves as the director of The Hip Preservation Center. He is also a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard team and former team physician for The George Washington University Colonials. Dr. Faucett obtained his medical degree at Dartmouth Medical School, and completed his residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, NH. After completing residency, he was selected and completed a prestigious fellowship at The Steadman Clinic, in Vail, CO where he trained in hip arthroscopy and complex knee repairs. He has specialized training in arthroscopic and open hip preservation surgery for hip impingement, labrum tears, and tendon inj uries, as well as complex knee repair including ACL.PCL, LCL/FCL, PLC, MCL injuries as well as meniscus repair and transplant, and cartilage restoration. Dr. Faucett is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the International Society of Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA), AOSSM and AANA, He is the author of a number of manuscripts, book chapters and is a regularly invited speaker at international meetings.
