Originally from South Carolina, Tiras is a board-certified occupational therapist with a passion for helping others restore function and confidence through skilled, client-centered care. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Public Health from Elon University, where he was a four-year letterman on the football team, and went on to complete his Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at Moravian University.
Tiras has worked across a variety of clinical settings, including inpatient and acute rehabilitation environments, where he first gained hands-on experience as a therapy technician. These diverse experiences have shaped his holistic approach to therapy, emphasizing compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice.
Tiras’s background as a collegiate athlete greatly enhances his work as a hand therapist. His understanding of movement, body mechanics, and the recovery process allows him to design functional, performance-driven treatment plans that help clients regain strength, mobility, and independence. He approaches each session with the same discipline, resilience, and teamwork that defined his athletic career.
An active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) and the Capital Hand Therapy Association, Tiras is dedicated to advancing his clinical expertise and contributing to the professional community.
Outside of the clinic, Tiras enjoys spending time outdoors, staying active through sports, volunteering, exploring art, and learning new skills. His curiosity and commitment to personal growth mirror his approach to therapy—empowering others to achieve their fullest potential in both rehabilitation and daily life.
